Student Loans

Friday November 17, 2006
Higher education isn't cheap. If you don't have enough to pay for tuition with grants, scholarships, and cold, hard cash, you're going to need to look into student loans.

Here are a few different types of student loans worth considering:

Stafford Loans
Stafford Loans are guaranteed and subsidized by the federal government. These loans are need-based loans awarded to students through a school's financial aid package.

Perkins Loans
Perkins Loans are funded by the government and are one of the best forms of financial aid available.

PLUS Loans
PLUS loans are meant to help parents and students who are having a hard time paying the "Family Contribution". These loans are available regardless of income level.
