Taking the GMAT

Friday September 14, 2007
The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a standardized exam used by business schools to assess how well students are likely to do in an MBA Program. The GMAT exam measures basic verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills.

After taking the GMAT, it is only natural to wonder if you could have done better. You are of course allowed to retake the GMAT, but retaking the test may not be as beneficial as you think.

The GMAT is only one of many factors — including recommendations, essays, undergraduate GPA, etc. —that business schools consider when reviewing an application.
