Attention high school seniors! Have I got a scholarship contest for you: The American Fire Sprinkler Association Scholarship Contest
I discovered it quite accidentally. But as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to blog it. Entering is a cinch and nearly everyone is eligible to win.
Scholarship Contest Details
The AFSA Scholarship Contest is not based on financial need. It is open to to any U.S. high school senior who plans to attend a college, university, or trade school. The contest runs August 1, 2008 through April 1, 2009. The AFSA will award ten scholarships in all. Each scholarship is worth $2,000.
Entrants must read (not write) a 3,000 word essay about automatic fire sprinklers and answer 10 multiple choice questions about the content of the essay. The post-essay test is "open book." If you can answer all 10 questions correctly, you can be entered into the contest 10 times--meaning you have ten chances to win.
