If you are getting ready to face the admissions process, you can take advantage of Christina's extensive knowledge by reading this interview.
Can you provide a general overview of your admissions process?
There are two different types of materials you must submit: materials submitted online and those that must be mailed. Please do not send materials both online and via mail as the duplication will increase processing time. It is extremely important to use the same version/format/spelling of your official name on all application materials submitted electronically or via mail to ensure all documents are matched to your file.

It allows you to complete all required information online and includes information required by the University of Texas, as well as specific information required for MBA applicants. Is it better to apply early in the process?
Our early deadline is November 1, but we accept applications after that date on a rolling basis. You should apply the earliest you can put forth your best application. In other words, earlier is better but dont rush your application and sacrifice quality.
Who conducts your admissions interviews?
McCombs utilizes an invitation-only interview system. This means that the Admissions Committee will review completed applications and invite selected candidates to interview. Applicants are unable to choose to interview on their own. Candidates selected for an interview may choose to meet on campus with a current MBA student or off campus with a local alumnus. Some interviews may be conducted by staff members, especially at peak times or near holidays. All interviews are weighed equally in the admissions process (i.e., there is no advantage in doing the interview on campus vs. off campus).
Do you have any interview tips for applicants?
Be yourself and come prepared. Be sure to research the school and know why you are interested in a particular program.
How important is an applicants GMAT score?
The GMAT provides an indicator of potential for academic success. The GMAT is one of many factors including recommendations, essays, undergraduate GPA, etc. that we will consider when reviewing an application.
