Talasek borrows from Caroll’s original cast of characters, and reintroduces Alice as a grown-up, Ivy League MBA. Alice takes a corporate job at Wonderland Inc and meets an entertaining and outlandish cast of characters that include the queen, Chesire, and a harried assistant who resembles a rabbit.
Before long, Alice realizes that the real world is nothing like what she learned about in school. Wonderland Inc is full of disgruntled employees, crazy management, and wasted resources. Through Alice, we become privy to some of the most common problems facing corporations today. We also learn of real, workable solutions to these problems.
Overall, Alice in Corporate Wonderland is a smart and entertaining tale. I highly recommend this book to anyone who works or is thinking of working in the business world.
