Guide Review - Accidental Branding

At first, I thought David Vinjamuri’s new book, Accidental Branding : How Ordinary People Build Extraordinary Brands was just another book on marketing that rehashed old ideas in a new way. As it turns out, I was wrong.

Accidental Branding is a fantastic resource that will change the way you look at marketing a new business. The book focuses on seven entrepreneurs who were able to grow large and successful brands with no formal marketing training.

Vinjamuri shares the stories of:
  • Craigslist (Craig Newmark)
  • Burt’s Bees (Roxanne Quimby)
  • J. Peterman Company (John Peterman)
  • Columbia Sportswear (Gert Boyle)
  • Baby Einstein (Julie Aigner-Clark)
  • Clif Bar (Gary Erickson)
  • The Art of Shaving (Myrian Zaoui and Eric Malka)
I would recommend Accidental Branding to business school students, entrepreneurs, marketing professionals, and anyone who is looking for creative ways to grow a business.
