Guide Review - College Navigator

The Princeton Review is well known for the comprehensive college guides they publish on a yearly basis, but their latest venture—-College Navigator-—is somewhat of a surprise.

The book is just as good, but it is a little different. To start, the guide is very small (only 5 1/2 by 6 inches), and yet, it includes a record number of college lists—-282 to be exact. The lists cover just about any criteria imaginable. Some examples include:
  • Schools with the smallest campuses
  • Schools with outstanding honors programs
  • Schools whose cities have tough job markets
  • Schools that don't give grades
  • Schools with the highest acceptance rates
  • Schools that serve sushi in the dining hall
There are also lists of schools with outstanding programs by major, and other categories like admissions, alumni, campus life, and extracurriculars.

College Navigator may not be the only college guide you want to read when you begin your college search, but it is a fun and functional book that is well worth the money.
