File Financial Aid Forms Early

Tuition is expensive, and for most students, financial aid is a must. If you want to increase your chances of receiving a generous financial aid package, you are going to want to turn in your financial aid forms as soon as possible.

When you wait until the last minute to turn in your financial aid forms, you run the risk of missing a deadline. Since every college will have a different deadline when it comes to filing financial aid forms, getting them done as soon as possible lessens the confusion.

More importantly, your chances of receiving a generous financial aid offer, or any offer at all, is increased if you file early. Most schools will award attractive financial aid packages early in the process, but then get stingy as time and money begins to run out.

Getting your financial aid forms turned in as early as possible (January or February) will be to your benefit.
