Brief Overview of the GMAT

By

The Graduate Management Admission Test, GMAT for short, is a standardized test that is commonly used by business schools to assess the readiness and qualifications of MBA and graduate management program applicants.

Why the GMAT Test Is Important
Although the GMAT is only one component of the business school admissions process, it is important to get a good GMAT score. Admissions committees will use this score to determine how well you might fit into their business program. If your score does not match up with the scores of other applicants, it could hurt your chances of acceptance.

Taking the GMAT Test
The GMAT test is administered in English at test centers in the U.S., Canada, and in other locations throughout the world. The test is almost always administered via computer. Read more about Taking the GMAT.

How to Ace the GMAT Test
The GMAT test does not measure how smart you are, how much you know about business, or how dependable you are at work. The only things the test measures are your verbal, math, and writing skills. If you want to do well on the GMAT test, you need to focus on those three things. Read more about GMAT Test Questions.
