1. Benign - non-threatening, innocuous
2. Canvas - a piece of cloth on which an artist paints
3. Deft - skilled, adept
4. Enervated - lacking energy, weakened, exhausted
5. Fatuous - silly, foolish
6. Gourmand - one who likes eating and drinking
7. Hiatus - an interruption in continuity, a break
8. Incessant - without interruption
9. Lavish – extravagant
10. Mandatory - required, not optional
