1. Noisome - foul, offensive, particularly to the sense of smell
2. Olfactory - relating to the sense of smell
3. Pedagogue - a schoolteacher
4. Recalcitrant – defiant
5. Sanguine - cheery, optimistic, hopeful
6. Terrestrial - relating to the land
7. Veneer - a superficial or deceptively attractive appearance, façade
8. Veracious - honest, truthful
9. Terse - abrupt, short, brief
10. Timorous - fearful, timid
