Academics:

Cheung Kong GSB is commonly thought to have one of the strongest faculties in China - most are native Chinese that have spent years teaching and researching abroad (mostly in America) before returning to China. The school is especially strong in the areas of Finance, Marketing, and Strategy. The intensive Cheung Kong MBA curriculum is organized into six modules of seven weeks each. Each module ends with exams and is followed by a break.

MBA Program:

The Cheung Kong MBA program is an intensive, full-time, 12-month general management program taught in Shanghai in English by renowned faculty handpicked from the world’s top business schools. Limited to approximately 60 students each year, the intimate class size enables personalized instruction and career services that leverage the larger Cheung Kong family, which is arguably the most powerful business network in Greater China.

EMBA Program:

Systematic management training for China’s top business leaders, the Cheung Kong EMBA program, taught in Chinese, features intense in-class discussion, executive-level company visits, and a network of over 1,500 of the most energetic alumni on earth. Cheung Kong EMBA participants study four days per month (Thursday thru Sunday) over a 20-month period at campuses located in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Nearly half of the current 420 EMBA participants are private entrepreneurs.

Executive Development Programs:

The fastest growing segment within Cheung Kong GSB, Executive Development Programs such as the China CEO Program, conducted with INSEAD, Columbia, and Wharton, brings together a prestigious list of Chinese executives, including Alibaba Chairman Jack Ma, China National Offshore Oil Corporation President Fu Chengyu, and Mengniu Dairy Chairman Niu Gensheng. At the international level, Korean and Indian CEO Programs bring top Korean and Indian executives to China to round out the Cheung Kong CEO Series. Cheung Kong also offers Company Specific Programs, Post-EMBA Programs, and programs that focus on specific industries.

Admissions:

The Cheung Kong MBA program has one intake each year. Acceptance of applications occurs on a rolling basis throughout the year. Admission requirements and guidelines can be found on the school’s website.

Interesting Fact:

Cheung Kong does not set a minimum GMAT score for MBA applicants, but most admitted students have GMAT scores over 600.
