Academics: The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon consistently ranks among the top business schools in the world. The programs offered at Tepper place a strong emphasis on general management, but Tepper is also known for a wide range of specializations, including Finance, Entrepreneurship, Operations Management, and Information Technology.

Undergraduate Programs: Tepper is often noted as having one of the world’s most elite undergraduate business programs. The undergraduate curriculum is focused upon the technical aspects of general management, quantitative decision-making, and analytical problem solving. In addition to this business knowledge, Tepper undergraduates are also greatly encouraged to develop leadership abilities.
MBA Programs: Tepper offers two MBA programs: a full-time MBA and a part-time MBA. Both MBA programs consist of in-depth coursework and a broad curriculum. Students can focus on a particular industry or general management. Tepper offers more elective courses than the average business school- nearly twice as many. Teaching strategies include classroom simulations, lectures, case studies, and corporate-sponsored projects.
MSCF Program: The Master of Science in Computational Finance (MSCF) program that is offered by Tepper is considered to be one of the top quantitative finance programs in the country. Lasting seventeen months, the MSCF program teaches the fundamentals of quantitative finance. Course study includes finance theory, bond portfolio management, statistical methodologies, statistical arbitrage, risk management, and dynamic asset management.
MSQE: The Masters of Science in Quantitative Economics (MSQE) that is offered at Tepper is quite different from most of the degrees offered at other business schools. Tepper admits only first-rate students and expects them to learn not only the basics of quantitative solutions to economic problems, but also the application. Course study is rigorous and advanced, consisting of a core-curriculum and thesis.
